Hope you are keeping well?  This week it is ‘Time To Talk’ day on the 02/02/23 and I wanted to share with you the link with resources, information about what it is all about and how you can take part. The day is all about creating supportive communities by having conversations with family, friends, or colleagues about mental health. We all have mental health, by talking about it we can support ourselves and others.  Please follow this link for further details; How to take part - Time To Talk Day

  • Space4autism – have shared with us what’s on for February please follow the link for further information What's on at S4A in February?
  • Bridgend Centre – have a new social group they have set up ‘Brew with the guys’ which I have attached but also please follow the link as they have lots of other groups for everyone including their popular walks; Bridgend Centre
  • Mental Health First Aid Course for Parent Carers – Just Drop In are hosting a Mental Health First Aid Course for parents of young people aged 11-18 that live in the Poynton, Disley and Bollington areas at the Bridgend Centre please see the attached information for further details.
  • Wishing Well – have coming up two 6 week courses called ‘Around the World’ where you have the opportunity to learn about different cultures through craft and cooking, please see the attached poster for further details.  Also they have started a Youth Club on Friday each week for children aged 10-16 years old, please see the attached leaflet for further information too.
  • Chappell Centre, Congleton – have launched a new free social group they have called ‘The Wellbeing Journey’ please see the attached flyer for further information about what it is about and the day and time it is hosted.
  • Autism Inclusive- have lots of activities and groups on during the week including gaming groups and Lego Building please follow the link for more information and how to book on to some of these groups Autism Inclusive | Crewe (aicrewe.org.uk)
  • East Cheshire Eye Society – have shared with us information about their groups and activities across the east of Cheshire for February which I have attached.
  • Time out Group, Parent/ Adult Carers – currently meet with parent carers/adult carers each Wednesday but would love to meet with more, Anne Louise has put together a short survey asking our parent carers/adult carers about how they can make it more accessible to those who would like to attend but cant due to other commitments, please see the attached information and respond via email to Anne Louise directly.
  • Time out Group – have shared with us their weekly activities for this week but also what is coming up for February with their ‘TOG Trips Out’ both of which I attach the information to this email.
  • SUSO – have shared with us their weekly activities but I also have attached their monthly calendar for February too so you can see what is going on along with their new Get Active opportunity. 
  • Sandbach Over 65’s Coffee Cake and Social Group – being hosted at Sandbach Football Club at the Crossbar a social get together group has been started please see the attached leaflet for further information.
  • TCV Green Gym, Hassall Green Nature Reserve – please see the attached information Rebecca has shared with us about the mental wellbeing sessions that they offer which are free and such a great opportunity to learn new outdoor skills, meet new people and have time for yourself.  They can also help with transport in certain areas.  I attach both documents with the up and coming sessions.
  • Wheelock Fifty Plus Social Group – at Wheelock Congregational Church are hosting once a month a new social group which they would people to come along to.  Please see the attached poster for further information.
  • Sue’s Social and Art Groups for All Abilities – please see the attached posters for information about the groups Sue hosts each week at Wheelock.
  • Wishing Well Supported Adults – Jan has shared with us the up and coming events for the Let’s Get Social evenings and the Feel Good Friday’s there are some great activities and sessions going on please see the poster for more details.
  • SUSO are hosting an evening event on the 17th March and they would love you all to come along, it is open to everyone, please see the attached poster with what is happening and how to get your tickets

Cost of living help and support
  • Cheshire East Council has launched it’s Warm Places CE I have attached the link here to highlight all the local support that have signed up to the scheme to offer those places to go across Cheshire East;  Warm places - keeping Cheshire East warm

    • Bollington Community Grocery – CRE8 will be at Bollington Town Hall every Thursday please see the attached leaflet for further information there are no restrictions everybody is welcome to help reduce food wastage and those rising food bills.
    • Winter Wellbeing Guide – Cheshire East has produced a useful guide with hints and tips of how to keep well please follow the link to gain access to the guide which is really useful; Winter Wellbeing in Cheshire East
    • Stay Well Bus – please follow the link to find out where our bus is this week around Cheshire East to offer FREE wellbeing checks to all; Health and wellbeing service (cheshireeast.gov.uk)
