PE and Sport Premium

At Springfield School, we are committed to providing our pupils with high-quality, inclusive opportunities to be physically active, develop confidence and enjoy sport. Our specialist facilities and staff enable pupils to access PE, swimming, rebound therapy and a wide range of physical activities adapted to their individual needs.

The 2025–2026 academic year was the final year of the Primary PE and Sport Premium in its previous form. Springfield received funding which contributed towards enhancing our PE and physical activity provision, alongside significant additional investment from the school’s own resources.

From 2026–2027, national arrangements for school sport are changing, with the Government moving towards a new National School Sport Partnerships Network. We will continue to prioritise physical activity, swimming and inclusive sport as an important part of our curriculum while responding to the new national arrangements as they are introduced.
