Information, advice and guidance on keeping yourself safe

Pupil well-being

The well-being and safety of every member of Springfield school is of paramount importance to us. Within our formal and informal curriculum our pupils are taught:

  • How to use the internet in a safe and responsible way
  • How to behave appropriately online
  • What to do if they are worried about something they see online or that is sent to them electronically
  • Healthy relationships

Monitoring and Filtering

Springfield school uses "Net Sweeper" as their filtering process.

Schools and colleges should provide a safe environment to learn and work, including when online. Filtering and monitoring are both important parts of safeguarding pupils and staff from potentially harmful and inappropriate online material.

Useful websites

Please find below several website links that offer support, advice and guidance on a number of safeguarding topics. If you do have any specific safeguarding concerns, please do contact the school’s Designated Safeguarding Leads. At Springfield Crewe this is Amanda Leigh and at Springfield Wilmslow it is Fiona Hartley.
