Forest School Mud Kitchen

19th November 2019
We would just like to say a huge thank you to Mr Sam Peberdy, parent of Logan Peberdy in KS3 who very kindly donated his time, effort and contacts to make a new mud kitchen for our Forest School Wild area. Mr Peberdy designed and made the mud kitchen during the October half term break. The following materials were very kindly donated by these local businesses:

B&Q:  Decking
Wickes: Timber for the framework
Stubbs: Trellis, batons and a box of screws
Build Base:  Batons, 3 tins of paint

The children in KS3/KS4 are already enjoying playing with it and creating mud pies, mud cakes and mud meatballs! With all the rain we have been having recently, mud is definitely something that we will not be in short supply of! This term in Forest School we are also planting some trees as part of the Woodland Trust's 'Big Climate Fight Back' which as many of you will understand is an incredibly important part of addressing the ever concerning climate change issues. Some Forest School parents will also be assisting us in planting the new tree species.
