Springfield School is a successful school for children and young people with learning difficulties.  We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced HLTA to join a new team working with a small group of 16-25 year olds on a supported internship program. Duties include but are not limited to:

Planning and delivering practical activities to develop functional skills to individuals or small groups. Visiting workplaces to support students in their placements. Keeping records of sessions and visits and identifying areas for development. Analysing data and preparing and presenting reports on progress.  Developing relationships with employers.  Ultimately we will be working towards interns gaining paid employment at the end of the course.


The successful candidate will already be an experienced practitioner who can support interns in developing their functional skills alongside ensuring successful work placements.  You will need excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  You should have experience of working with SEN students. Experience of developing relationships with employers/providers would be a distinct advantage. You should be able to support a range of individuals with different strengths and areas for development.  You must have your own transport and business insurance.

Salary: Grade 7, Actual Salary £17985/annum
